My professional journey in architecture started in 1955 with a focus on residential homes and commercial projects. These projects have taken me across the country and have encompassed:

• a two year assignment as an sales engineer with Carrier Heating & AC
• numerous construction and engineering projects
• contract negotiations
• dispute arbitration
• multiple dwellings and conversions
• resolving serious construction defects and omissions
• building department issues

I have worked extensively with:

Some of my more memorable projects include: major home landscaping renovations for Corporate Associates of Pizza Hut; having our home selected for a film scene with actor Peter Lawford; remodeling a Volkswagen Dealership when the "Beatle" was still considered an ugly car; designing nursing homes and retirement communities around the country with national syndicated radio commentator Paul Harvey as the keynote speaker; meeting Johnny Cash at the opening ceremony of a radio station I designed, and just recently reviewing a master plan for a planned development community with Fess Parker (Davy Crockett) in California.

I have served over ten years on various HOA boards, currently serve as Design Review Chairman for my residential community, and recently helped form a Homeowners' Committee that convinced a developer to revise development plans for a vacant parcel of land in our community, so that it would be more compatible with our existing neighborhood. I served on a Citizens Drought Advisory Group during drought conditions in a major metropolitan city, and I continue to respond to requests by friends and neighbors to resolve construction or disputed issues.

Seeing common threads and patterns to problems I encountered over the years led me to condense what I had gleaned from my experiences into a useful text.
